Laser Skin Resurfacing
Aging skin develops fine lines and wrinkles along with changes toward a more sallow complexion and sun spots. Surgery will lift and reposition drooping facial skin but improvement of fine wrinkles and dark spots can be best achieved through laser facial skin resurfacing. We will recommend a home skin care treatment program before and after laser resurfacing to prepare your skin for the procedure and to maintain your results.
- Fine lines or wrinkles
- Small scars from acne or chickenpox
- Non-responsive skin caused by a previous facelift procedure
- Aged or sun-damaged skin
- Liver spots
- Improve skin tone and complexion
- Enlarged oil glands of the nose
Fractional ablative laser resurfacing is the current gold standard treatment to diminish fine lines and wrinkles, tighten facial skin and to even out skin tone. Resurfacing procedures immediately tighten the face and stimulate new collagen growth creating younger-looking, smoother skin. Treatment is usually applied to the entire face to allow blending of the treatment along the hairline, jawline and the ear to hide any visible transition between treated and untreated areas. The procedure requires under one hour and can be performed comfortably under topical anesthesia. Dr. Weber performs all ablative laser procedures in our office and can provide you with a mild oral sedative if you are anxious.
